U3A  TVN  Historic Pathways Visit to the Berkshire Record Office

Monday November 3rd, 2 pm

This visit to the BRO in Reading has been organised to enable our members to familiarise themselves with the maps and other archive material which is available for research purposes.  We are most grateful to Mark Stevens, Senior Archivist at the BRO, for giving up his time to talk to us, and to demonstrate the marvellous range of historic documents held by his department.

Numbers are strictly limited, so initially the first two to apply from each U3A will be offered a place, which will be confirmed after receipt of a cheque in payment of the small registration fee.

After Monday, October 13th, additional members of U3As who have already applied, will be offered places if there is space available.

Detailed joining instructions will be sent to all participants nearer the time.

Cost is £3 per head, to include light refreshments, introductory talk by Mark Stevens and a guided tour of the search room of the BRO.

Please complete the form below if you would like to apply for a place.
