Forensics Day at Culham Science Centre 200 people attended and heard interesting and amusing speeches on every thing from Metropolitan Police forensics in the 1960/70s to undercover policing particularly to catch drug traffickers and finally in the morning as a surprise to many of us the evidence that can be gained from minute grains of pollen, which are almost indestructible After Lunch we had the techniques of DNA analysis explained to us emphasising that it is not as quick as we may have seen on CSI programmes on TV, nevertheless, when pushed it is possible to complete an analysis in as little as 12 hours Below a couple of photos showing the modern conference hall and many of the delegates.
